Job Description:  Position Summary:

Plans and executes marketing communications and promotional programs to increase clinical demand for the BRAHMS product line of novel diagnostic immunoassays in the United States and Canada. Manages all elements of marketing communications, including tradeshows, media, webinars, and promotional materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Manages ad agencies, printers, trade show service providers, and other contractors with the responsibility to recommend changes as appropriate.

Develops the annual MarCom plan and budget.

Manages exhibits and sponsored events for national and regional medical conferences and other clinical education events: expense, location, and other logistics.

Provides on-site management while exhibiting at national conferences.

Organizes and hosts medical education webinars

Develops, or adapts from global materials, promotional materials.

Responsible for thorough understanding of FDA clearances, trademarks, and branding elements and to direct their proper use.

Manages selection and inventory of scientific literature reprints

Manages US specific online content for the Biomarkers business

Develops and executes US targeted advertising

Manages literature fulfilment from all lead sources.

Manages and tracks budget, assuring adherence to budget categories and overall spending.

Domestic and overseas travel of 15%-25%. Travel may take place on weekends and outside of normal business hours.

Position will require being able to sit and to stand for several hours at a time.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required. MBA preferred.

Six (6) years of experience in marketing, marketing communications, project management, customer service, or sales experience in the area of diagnostics, pharmaceuticals or life science research products.

Three (3) years of experience with marketing communications in the clinical diagnostics industry in the United States.

Experience with generating clinical demand from hospital-based physicians for new in-vitro diagnostics preferred.



Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

Proven ability to gain consensus, influence organizational behaviour and lead timely decision making processes in a matrix environment. This is an influencing role with many organizational interfaces, both across functions and internationally.

Excellent written and oral communications skills with ability to communicate to medical audiences.

The role requires high levels of self motivation and energy.
