Marketing for the Life Science Reagents Business Unit, which includes the USB & Anatrace brands, is based in our Cleveland, Ohio Reagents Center of Excellence, and offers its employees a dynamic work experience in the growing field of Life Science and Biotechnology. The Marketing Manager will work directly for the VP & GM of the Life Sciences Reagents business unit and will be responsible for all marketing and business development activities associated with the Molecular Biology product lines as well as overall management of the marketing team. This includes: Direct management of the marketing team including Product managers, Marketing communications manager, e-Marketing manager and marketing specialist Indirect management of the international field marketing partners in Europe , Asia and Latin America. Lead marketing team to set strategies for entire USB and Anatrace brands, new product introductions, brand image and target customer segments, international marketing strategies, campaign creation and using global channels including direct Sales, indirect channel partners, and direct marketing techniques Management duties include: Coach marketing team members, maintain a strong team culture within marketing, annual performance reviews, represent marketing team and Life Science Reagents team interest in corporate teams and cross-functional committees. Overall management of the USB Molecular Biology product portfolios which includes reagents for PCR, qPCR, modifying enzymes, and other molecular biology products. Management of these product lines includes: forecasting and monitoring sales, identifying potential new products, managing price, promotion, target customers, global marketing plans and overall product portfolio ownership Coordination of cross-functional activities associated with new product development. Development and execution of all marketing activities to generate new business opportunities. Establish collaborative working relationships with key scientific leaders in the molecular biology field to define, promote and growth the product line. Work closely with colleagues from R&D, Operations, Technical Support, Marketing Communications, Sales and Customer Service to successfully perform these duties. Understand competitive landscape and market trends to position, differentiate, promote, and extend the product line. Drive catalog sales growth through direct marketing, positioning our products for market awareness and driving customers ot our web site. Enhance the effectiveness of the sales team through the creation of sales tools, training, and customer segmentation. 15% travel required. Requirements Previous lab experience is necessary with at least 1 year of graduate level research or equivalent work experience is required. |
