Job Description:  Reporting to the Senior Director of New Product Marketing, the Associated Director of New Product Marketing (AD-NPM) will be a key member of the commercial team committed to ensuring the successful strategic development and market conditioning for the AVEO pipeline of new product candidates.

The AD-NPM will have primary responsibility for providing strategic guidance and commercial opportunity assessments for the assigned AVEO pipeline product. The position will provide actionable commercial insights across all phases of product development. This includes commercial brand development, product positioning, collaborating with Medical Affairs on publication planning, advisory board activities and key opinion leader development. The AD-NPM role will be a key member of the Global Development Team and work closely with various cross-functional stakeholders such as program leadership team, clinical research, translational science, and medical affairs to achieve key program goals.

The successful candidate for the AD-NPM position will be a highly-driven individual with a strong scientific knowledge base and a comprehensive understanding of the strategic product development process for oncology products. The ideal candidate will also have strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to effectively influence key internal and external scientific leaders.

Responsibilities

Be a key contributing member of the pipeline product core team
Provide strategic guidance through the cross-functional global development teams (marketing, clinical, CMC, medical affairs, regulatory, and research)
Drive key market conditioning and product positioning activities including but not limited to competitive intelligence, publication planning, advisors meetings, customer/ KOL development, forecasting, and new product market research for assigned pipeline product
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and legal guidelines

Requirements

BA or BS required, MBA or advanced scientific degree preferred
Minimum of 5-7 years of industry experience, ideally 2 of which should be in oncology
A successful track record for developing integrated commercial strategy for early stage products and research programs
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in cross functional teams; strong collaborative skills in developing relationships and influencing without direct authority is a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional listening skills, strong presentation skills, and good negotiating and influencing skills
Ability to contribute to an existing high performing culture and creating a fun work environment is essential
Up to 30% of domestic and international travel will be required to attend important internal and external meetings. Travel may be outside of normal working hours and over weekends
