Job Description:  Summary:

Provides market research and business information to support decision-making regarding the development and commercialization of companies products and commercial strategy. Responsible for primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative data gathering and analysis to support the development of market overviews, competitive intelligence, commercial assessments, product forecasting and general pharmaceutical marketplace analysis.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Manages research studies with primary and secondary market research agencies, including selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Analyzes complex competitive environment sales records, market penetration, market potential and future trends and making recommendations based on findings.
Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Supports brand promotional plan through the provision of market research analytics.
Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and company infrastructure.
Presents research findings and interacting regularly with senior management and cross-functional teams.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Performs a variety of complicated tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
In-depth experience conducting quantitative and qualitative primary and secondary market research.
Applies advanced technical principles, theories and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
Has wide-ranging experience in area of specialization.
Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Strong strategic thinker - ability to formulate and develop complex commercial strategy.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines.
Strong communication skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing.
Has complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
Has good general knowledge of other related disciplines.
Applies strong analytical and business communication skills.

Requirements

Education:
BS/BA degree in related discipline and eight years of related experience; or,
MS/MA degree in related discipline and six year of related experience; or,
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
May require certification in assigned area.
