Description

Reporting to Sr. Director of Tivozanib Marketing, this position will be a key member of the Commercial Operations team committed to ensuring the successful strategic development and market conditioning and launch of Tivozanib for RCC.

The incumbent will be part of the marketing team responsible for developing and implementing the launch strategic and tactical plans for tivozanibs successful entry into the RCC market. The person will be responsible for conditioning the market, being part of establishing and leveraging key KOL relations and market education efforts. Further, the incumbent will interact closely with members of the Joint North American Commercial Team (JNACT) with our WW partner Astellas. The person will work closely with the clinical development, research, translational and medical affairs. The ideal candidate will be driven, intelligent, seasoned individual with a strong scientific knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the strategic development process, market conditioning and launch for oncology products in the current regulatory environment. The ideal candidate will also have strong communication, presentation skills, and the ability to effectively interact collaboratively with and influence key internal and external customers including scientific leaders and cross functional teams.

Responsibilities

Be a critical player in launch preparation and launch execution for tivozanib in RCC
Provide strategic guidance through the cross-functional development teams (Marketing, Clinical, CMC, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Research)
Collaboratively with Market Research, work on development of product positioning, messaging, branding, and promotional campaign for tivozanib launch
Be key member of the team responsible for the market conditioning activities including but not limited to: competitive intelligence, publication planning, advisors meetings, customer/ KOL development, forecasting, and market research Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and legal guidelines
Have responsibility for commercial coordination with counterparts at Astellas
Be responsible for developing and managing to the joint commercialization plan with marketing team and Astellas

Requirements

BA or BS required, MBA or advanced scientific degree preferred
Minimum of 7 years of industry experience, 2 of which need to be in oncology
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
Strong scientific experience/skills
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and participate in diverse teams
Commercialization experience that has yielded an in-depth understanding of the activities, regulations, and processes required for a successful product development and launch in oncology
Demonstrated ability to manage a team is a plus
Pharmaceutical sales experience is a plus
Partnership experience is a plus
