* Responsible for commercial scale production planning at the Frederick Manufacturing Center (FMC). * Creates and maintains bills of materials and master recipes, material masters, and resources. * Manages semi-finished goods planning and scheduling. * Responsible for ensuring master production schedule fulfillment. * Manages inventory to target valuation and turns. * Works proactively to optimize procurement, production planning and inventory control processes through creative solutions, acting alone and/or on teams. * Drives operational excellence and provides expertise to other functional areas. * Liaises with Manufacturing and other functions at the site. Requirements * Outlook, e-Procurement Systems, Internet Explorer, MS Power Point, MS Excel, MS Word
Experience creating and maintaining master data in SAP
Experience using production planning, scheduling and inventory control functions in SAP * Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance. * Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills to be able to provide timely feedback and communicate appropriately with other departments.
Must be organized, possess time management skills, have the ability to deal with ambiguity and be able to manage changing priorities.
Must be motivated and able to operate independently with some direction from management.
Must be results-oriented.
Must be skilled in planning and utilization of planning tools.
Strong knowledge of planning and scheduling with a minimum of 5 years professional experience required.
Education: * Bachelors of Science, business, engineering, or other relevant field required. Relevant Masters degree a plus. * APICS certification and/or experience with lean-six sigma or other operational excellence methodologies a plus.
