Job Description:  * Responsible for commercial scale raw materials planning at the Frederick Manufacturing Center (FMC).
* Create and maintain material masters and raw materials planning using MRP.
* Manages inventory to target valuation and turns.
* Works proactively to optimize procurement and inventory control processes through creative solutions, acting alone and/or teams.
* Liaises with Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Logistics and Finance

Requirements

Position:
* Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
* General application of concepts, and principles.
* Outlook, SAP, e-Procurement Systems, Internet Explorer, MS Power Point, MS Excel, MS Word
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
* Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
* Frequent internal company and external contacts. Represents organization on specific projects.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
* Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills to be able to provide timely feedback and communicate appropriately with other departments.
* Minimum of 3 years professional experience in planning, preferably in a technical/scientific arena

Education:
* A BS degree in business administration or related materials management field, or a science or technical undergraduate degree preferred but not required.

* Strong knowledge of planning.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook).
* Project Leadership Experience on cross functional teams.
