The Telecom Engineer reports directly to the Manager of Telecom / Facilities. The successful candidate provides level 2/3 support for all VoIP related activities, including the design, implementation, support and maintenance of MedImmune's VoIP and network infrastructure, performing other duties as required.

Design, engineer, maintain and support voice network infrastructure for existing and new locations and data centers.
*
Support multi-cluster Cisco CUCM and Unity voicemail infrastructures.
*
Assist in the support, management and day to day operations of the corporate network infrastructure, including 24x7 on-call support.
*
Execute telephony hardware and software life-cycle management policies and procedures to meet business needs and ensure compliance with MedImmune, Inc. acquisition and asset management best-practices.
*
Support the enterprise VoIP implementation, including incident resolution and configuration changes. Fulfill requests for installations, changes in configurations, coverage paths, etc.
*
Escalate issues with vendors, carriers and service providers to ensure timely resolution and execution.
*
Support and maintain the IPT infrastructure, including Call Manager and Unity.
*
Maintain accurate, concise and clear documentation. Requirements Position:
*
5-7 years' experience in Telephony and Unified Voice.
*
5+ years' experience with Cisco Call Manager or other IP Platform.
*
5+ years' experience with Cisco Unity or other Voicemail Platform.
*
4+ years implementing and supporting enterprise voice and network solutions.
*
Experience implementing DAS and CER a plus.
*
Experience escalating with Cisco TAC.
*
3+ years' experience with DAS.
*
Demonstrated experience managing multiple, parallel and critical projects against strict deadlines.
*
Demonstrated experience in telecommunications, including the development and maintenance of telephony networks and support services, voice-mail systems and ancillary voice support systems.
*
Demonstrated large-scale deployment and management of Cisco VoIP technology, including voice gateways and Gatekeepers.
*
Demonstrated unified messaging and presence integration between Cisco CUCM, Unity Connection and Microsoft Lync a plus.
*
Unity, Cisco Call Manager, VoIP.
*
SIP signaling and trunking, H.323 and H.248, MGCP and RTP protocols.
*
QoS, VG224.
*
Carrier technologies, including SONET, DSx.
*
CER / e-911.
*
Voice gateways and Gatekeepers.
*
Troubleshooting, analysis and configuration (TCP/IP, EIGRP, 802.1q, etc), including the use of common troubleshooting tools, such as sniffers.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
