Brand Manager - Lupus Strategy
Lilly recently established the Autoimmune Platform within the Lilly Bio-Medicines Business unit to develop and commercialize innovative new medicines for the benefit of individuals with autoimmune disorders. Assets within this platform are expected to contribute substantially to the corporations future growth. Lillys anti-BAFF MAb is currently being investigated for the autoimmune indications of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), commonly referred to as Lupus. Lupus is a new disease area for Lilly, and this job will require a unique set of skills to help ensure the long-term commercial success of this important medicine in this unique space.
The Lupus Marketing Strategy role will be accountable for developing a meaningful brand, and delivering a strategic platform that allows us to deliver unparalleled customer experiences. It will be critical that the individual in this role is experienced in preparing products for launch, and has previous experience working with molecules in the autoimmune space. This position will own the global brand planning process, the development of the global brand plan, serve as a brand strategy consultant for our affiliates, be part of issues management, maintain Lupus list of I wish I Knew (IWIKs), and be a team member on the patient journey work for relevant target patients. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree
5-7 years of brand marketing experience in an affiliate and/or global marketing role.
Meaningful experience in the autoimmune marketing space, preferably with one of the key players.
Experience in brand development, including experience in developing effective global brand promotional strategies.
Either market research experience or significant engagement with market research in numerous projects.
Experience in selecting and managing external agencies.
Proven cross-functional partnering capabilities, particularly with Medical, Regulatory, Global Health outcomes, and Pricing, Reimbursement, and Access (PRA).
Qualified candidate must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this position.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS/PREFERENCES:
Master's Degree
Proven ability to effectively lead and challenge conventional wisdom at all levels to produce innovative, customer-oriented solutions.
Demonstrated track record of strategic thinking and problem solving.
Experience in launching brands or new indications in the autoimmune space.
Strong listening skills.
Able to move work forward even when facing ambiguity.
Ability to work independently and able to prioritize; solutions-oriented.
Comfortable recommending solutions to complex commercial challenges.
Market Research experience.
Product launch experience.
Experience with rheumatologists.
Experience with autoimmune patients and/or advocacy groups
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:
Position requires approximately 10% international and domestic travel.
Occasional evening conference calls will be necessary in order to engage with affiliates.
