The Director, Product Engineering leads a matrixed team responsible for design related changes to products on the market for improving quality, cost manufacturability and functionality. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Monitors product performance in the field in conjunction with the Site Engineering team in San Jose, California and the quality team to ensure that all quality related issues are addressed promptly. Leads the effort, in conjunction with the Site Engineering team in San Jose, Global Marketing and Corporate Development, Manufacturing operations and Quality to define a portfolio of projects that optimize on-market product for quality, cost, functionality and manufacturability. Executes those projects that require design changes from the portfolio above with a matrix organization. Responsible for the technical review of all other projects for potential design impact.
