Job Description:  Position Summary:
This position is the leader of the endocrinology marketing teams including Increlex and Somatuline Depot. As head of Endocrinology marketing group, this position is expected to lead the brand teams in development and execution of short / mid / and long-term strategy as well as annual operations plan. Additionally, this role will provide critical strategic input to global strategies related to the products and business development activities for the therapeutic area.
Leadership skills will be critical in this role. Providing marketing direction as well as working across functions and providing clear guidance on what is needed to be successful are imperative. Additionally, this role is expected to develop the marketing group and Ipsen US operations overall to achieve greater

Essential duties & responsibilities:
Ensure all annual commercial objectives associated with Endocrinology are achieved including those outside your direct control. This includes sales, margin targets, and other KPIs.
Plot vision for future of Endocrinology success in the US and key steps to achieving vision.
Lead marketing teams in development of all marketing plans, strategies and tactics.
Facilitate cross functional goals including sales, med affairs, managed care, reimbursement, business analytics, etc. that will meet overall brand objectives.

Ensure all commercial operational objectives, goals, and KPIs are being met and provide management routine updates.
Anticipate when functional course correction is required and make adjustments with a sense of urgency.
Ensure all commercial budgets are met and collaborate with functional leadership to ensure financial objectives are met and resources reassigned if required.
Ensure marketing teams are appropriately staffed and are continually developing as individuals and a team.
Work closely with US / Global clinical leadership to ensure clarity and buy in of short and long term objectives to achieve vision.
Guide US senior management in Endocrinology vision, objectives, strategy, and tactics. This includes proactive routine updates and response to key areas of interests.

Requirements

Project management, including resource allocation and fiscal management.

Education, Experience & Training Required

Experience and Education (minimums)

Bachelors Degree
MBA is a plus
Biopharma commercial leadership (10 years in manager or above position)
Significant experience in specialty pharmaceutical markets with complex science and reimbursement
Development of in-depth short / mid / long term functional plans
Budget preparation and maintenance
Working within an environment of strict compliance to all appropriate regulatory guidelines to successfully design and execute tactics, programs and tools that achieve business objectives.
