Job Description:  The Senior Director, Marketing, HBV will report directly to the Vice President, Sales & Marketing for the U.S. Anti-Viral business unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategically leading in-line marketing efforts and setting the long-term vision for the HBV Therapeutics franchise. The Senior Director will establish appropriate procedures, systems, metrics and infrastructures to support marketing operations. He/she will provide strong leadership skills with an ability to set a vision, to lead change, to lead teams and to influence across and upward in the organization.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

Achieving brand/franchise revenue targets
Collaborating with other Marketing Heads to ensure coordinated approach
Leading cross functionally with Legal, Medical, Clinical, Regulatory and Public Affairs leadership.
Developing, coaching and managing key functional staff
Setting the long-term vision for US HBV Marketing Franchise
Managing risk and P&L
Represents US HBV Marketing Franchise position on Promotional Review Committee
Overseeing the development and implementation of tactical and strategic brand marketing plans across the franchise
Cultivating and maintains relationships with thought leaders, key customers and professional organizations
Working in close conjunction with NA Marketing operations to establish appropriate procedures, systems, metrics and infrastructures

Requirements

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, experienced individual with a strong track record of commercial success in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry. He/she must have the proven ability to provide strategic brand/franchise management, team leadership, vision and direction within a fast moving, challenging and energetic commercial environment.
Required qualifications include:
15+ years pharmaceutical industry experience including expertise in marketing strategy and tactics and commercial policies and practices
Knowledge and experience in franchise specific specialty markets
Proven record of leading product launch and brand/franchise growth
Experience with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements(DDMAC) and impact on development of marketing materials
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures, and disciplines
Strategic capabilities with ability to conceive, develop and implement multidimensional marketing and business plans
Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities
Strong communication skills with experience presenting before executive staff
Track record of successful budget management with an understanding of revenue forecasting and expense budget planning and tracking
Experience managing cross-functional teams or work groups as well as direct reports
Sales/market research experience is preferable, though not required
BA/BS degree required with an MBA or advanced scientific degree desired
