The Product Manager will be responsible for addressing the needs and opportunities of customers using qPCR to study Genetic Variation. These customers are often large customers with significant demands, which must be managed efficiently. The role will involve leading cross-functional product development teams to develop the right product to fill the market need, as well as managing the lifecycle of products in the portfolio. The product manager will serve as the customer advocate, interacting with many functional internal partners, including marketing, finance, manufacturing and sales to ensure the customer has an optimal experience with our products and our company. The Product Manager will work with Market Development partners to deliver marketing collateral, sales trainings and communications to support the product portfolio. The Product Manager is expected to:1. Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap2. Lead development teams to define CRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification3. Work with sales to ensure the needs of key customers are being met. 4. Have a thorough knowledge of the customer, the market and the competition. 5. Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product6. Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals7. Contribute to a monthly revenue forecast. 8. Develop sales tools and collateral in partnership with market development9. Work with the field organization to identify and address specific sales scenarios. 10. Gather feedback from customers, marketing, field sales and FAS to identify new market trends and opportunities. 11. Work with manufacturing, quality and other key internal stakeholders to maintain a steady supply of quality product. Required experience and knowledge1. Minimum of 1-2 years experience in product management, marketing or related field2. Demonstrated ability to use Voice of Customer (VOC) process to develop business cases, customer and product requirements for strategic and/or complex products. 3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills4. Bachelor's degree (MBA or other advanced degree preferred)5. Technical marketing background, with experience in qPCR a plus6. Excellent teamwork skills7. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority8. Must be able to travel 15-20% of the time RequirementsRequired experience and knowledge1.
