Product Brand Director - Payer

The AV-45 Payer Brand Director will be responsible for leading the payer, pricing, and contracting strategy development and implementation with public and private payers for AV-45 (Florbetapir), a novel diagnostic radiopharmaceutical product currently under review by the FDA. The Payer Brand Director will be the business owner of all payer communications and customers and will provide significant input into the C3 marketing strategy for the brand. The Payer Brand Director will also be responsible for securing/maintaining reimbursement coding and working with the HCP marketing team to effectively communicate reimbursement information and guidance to HCP customers. The Payer Brand Director will report to the Diagnostics Business Unit Leader and will be a member of the BU Leadership Team. The PRA Director will also have responsibilities for the assessment of Business Development opportunities with the Diagnostics Business Unit



KEY OBJECTIVES/DELIVERABLES:


Strategic Brand Development:


Segment and target payer customers; provide input to brand business objectives; own payer strategic initiatives


Hire, Develop, and Retain a High-Performing Team:


Identify, evaluate, and select the best internal/external talent for each position on team

Coach team to help them reach their personal potential while achieving business goals

Establish meaningful performance goals, collaborate on developmental action plans, foster a learning environment, and monitor/evaluate performance

Build a strong performance-based culture where top performers are rewarded, recognized, and ultimately retained


Customer Insight Development:


Identify and monitor key payer insight(s) for brand in partnership with LMR and agency active listening and participation in insight generation activities; understand consumer and HCP insights and identify integration issues/opportunities; ensure alignment with C3 customer messages regarding access and reimbursement.


Value Message Development:


Lead development and selection of payer value message in partnership with agency, health outcomes, and LMR


Supply Chain:


Understand and manage AV-45 supply chain and relevant stakeholders in partnership with MHS Trade Accounts.


G2N:


Understand impact of rebates and cash flow to brand revenue and lead G2N forecasting and on-going G2N management; represent the brand at all pre- and post-G2Nmeetings and communicate quarterly performance to brand leadership.


Pricing and Contracting:


Responsible for development/maintenance of AV-45 target account plan, pricing strategy, contracting guidelines, and transaction price.

Represent the brand in the contract review and approval processes, including pricing committee when required.


Channel & Tactic Strategy, Implementation, and Measurement:


Develop integrated payer communications strategy and OPEX recommendation in partnership with agency and MHS Channel Management team; lead ongoing assessment and revision of marketing mix to maximize impact; manage payer OPEX budget and bring opportunities/challenges to broader team for trade-off discussions


Market Monitoring/Measurement:


Collaborate with market research to deliver meaningful measurement plans and specific PRA metrics, including payer brand equity audits.

Assess marketplace data, identify implications, and make recommendations for brand actions and future learning plan.


Compliance and Risk Management:


Ensure compliance, for self and all direct reports, with all sales and marketing guidelines, good promotional practices, privacy policies, and other policies and procedures.

Lead compliance with confidence by fully understanding and internalizing both the whats and whys of applicable compliance guidelines

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Bachelors Degree

3+ years PRA experience in the US marketplace

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.


ADDITIONAL SKILLS/PREFERENCES:


MBA or equivalent experience

Proven ability to effectively lead and challenge conventional wisdom at all levels to produce innovative, customer-oriented solutions

Proven analytical and critical thinking skills in constructing deals and/or targeted account plans

Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills

Successful track record of leading people, developing teams and achieving results

Ability to work cross-functionally with Indy and field based teams

Field experience (HCP and/or Account Sales)

Experience with CCR system

US Managed Health Care System (B2B) experience


OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:


Full time position located at LTC-South

Travel is a requirement of the job and is estimated at 20%
