Nanogea is a nano-bioscience company focused on commercializing the industry's most sensitive single molecule detection platform based on its innovative NanoConeT chemistry and NanoCone Enabled Atomic Force (NE-AFMT) technology. Nanogea's NE-AFMT offers an unprecedented 10X6 improvement in sensitivity over other leading diagnostic technologies, thereby enabling significantly earlier and more accurate detection capabilities. Its superior sensitivity also eliminates the need for the complex and costly sample preparation as well as target amplification steps. Nanogea is currently working with the world's leading diagnostic companies and academics to develop early and accurate tests in the areas of CNS, OB/GYN, diabetes, among others.

DESCRIPTION
The Director/VP of Molecular Diagnostic Product Development will work closely with Chief Science Officer (CSO) and Chief Business Officer (CBO) to:
- Develop molecular diagnostic products from concept to launch.
- Develop and execute engineering, manufacturing and marketing strategy.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct laboratory experiments and studies in accordance with FDA quality systems to meet both 510(k) and PMA submission standards and requirements.
- Take part in many other activities that an entrepreneurial business may require.

The position may start part-time and will evolve into a full-time position.

Requirements

- Experience in developing one or more IVD/molecular diagnostic products and taking them to market.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures associated with clinical trials, FDA regulations, etc.
- Adept at handling multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of conventional molecular testing such as PCR, real-time PCR, RNA purification and handling, clinical sample handling, microarray procedures, and the proper use and maintenance of common laboratory equipment.
- Exceptional work ethic & flexibility. Some work experience with small firms preferred.
- At least B.S. in Life Science/Biotechnology. M.S.+ Preferred.
