This position manages the first shift production operators in the Mobius disposable assembly product line at our Danvers, MA facility, reporting to the Operations Manager. The position is responsible for driving the day-to-day operation of the site, maintaining production output and product quality. Specifically, the position responsibilities include the following:
Direct the implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods on the production floor Drive continuous improvement efforts through productivity and performance metrics Promote a culture of quality and innovation Act with a true sense of urgency for results Actively manage employee performance through coaching and counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Ensure the effective use of material, equipment and personnel in producing quality products Develop technical expertise in existing and new product development/technology. Continually enhance the skill level of his/her organization by investing in the development and learning of the organizations employees, and by actively participating in the selection of external talent Qualifications: Ability to meet tight deadlines Ability to interact with all functions involved with product design, manufacturing, finance, marketing Strong leadership characteristics, ability to motivate and retain talented people Working understanding of manufacturing processes and science Working knowledge of financial principles and practices Working knowledge of quality principles and methods Excellent communication skills APICS certification, Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) a plus Three to five years progressive experience within an FDA-regulated industry/manufacturing environment Degree in manufacturing technology, engineering or similar field Solid background in world class manufacturing techniques. Clear understanding of SPC, JIT, TQM and quality systems Familiarity with EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.
