KEY ROLES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Conduct market analysis, examine business dynamics, market structure and competition and deduce suitable strategies to increase the value of our business * Establish and manage the Competitive Intelligence database and communicate effectively with regions for in and output * Identify present and future customer needs and address them by a clear positioning and sustainable benefit statements in properly elaborated marketing materials (ad campaigns, folders, inserts, presentations, customer information letters etc.) * Develop business, marketing and product introduction plans to address global opportunities * Deduce marketing strategies for enduring success in the quickly changing market environment of Sequencing and develop according material for training of Key Account Managers * Conceptualize and implement innovative marketing tools * Communicate effectively with customers, regions, LSO's and other external and internal stakeholders in order to execute successfully the marketing plan * Generate quickly Press releases to actual topics in order realize a greater public awareness * Provide marketing expertise for Product Management, Program Management, Ramp;D, Bioinformatics and all other relevant departments * Represent 454 Sequencing Technologies and the Roche values on Congresses, in Customer Visits and any presentations and opportunities worldwide * Manage the international business team matrix effectively by providing the necessary structure, support and leadership * Initiate and conduct self-responsible cross-functional improvement projects in order to strengthen the market position of 454 sequencing * Effectively and pro-actively manage projects and resources in terms of project-plans, budgeting, controlling and reports elaborated to inform the management and stake-holders Requirements * Education: master's degree in Molecular biology, Economics or Equivalent, PhD preferred. At least 10 years experience in a Marketing Department, in a Consultancy or equivalent. At least 5 years experience in the life sciences industry and in leadership positions. Experience in the Sequencing market or closely related markets necessary. Experience in a diagnostic environment preferred.
* Special Skills: Strong interpersonal and communicative skills including effective conflict management required, sound standing IT knowledge, strong writing and presentation skills
