Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Sr. Financial Analyst, Sales and Marketing to join our team located in Bedford, OH. As a Sr. Financial Analyst, Sales and Marketing you would provide and articulate high-level analyses and supplement data to support decision-making process, coordinate budget and planning processes where appropriate, proactively support Controlling and businesses, specifically senior management within BVL functions. Prepare key management reports for internal U.S. Multisource, ICB and Operations management and/or to parent company in Ingelheim, Germany.

Responsibilities:
* Provide financial and business support to various Controlling personnel and/or business unit or directly to senior executives of the company. Act as a key liaison between on-site Controlling and to parent company in Ingelheim, where appropriate. Analysis should add value and support/lead to timely and accurate business decisions. Data should be consistent with MFG Pro system and should comply with German and US GAAP.
* Proactively support business in all financial needs including Budget preparation, Outlook and various account analyses and/or business scenarios, including Chargebacks. Analysis should be timely, accurate and supported by data from existing systems. Analysis will provide the basis for both strategic and tactical decision making.
* Independently compile and prepare high-level analysis and supplement data when necessary including presentation materials and commentary, etc., related to the Budget, Previews and Strategic Plans for business or functional operations. Ensure data is accurate and reflects planned activities, key due dates are met and Ingelheim reporting requirements are satisfied accurately and on time. Analysis should be supportive of both strategic and tactical decision making
* Prepare financial review reports and/or financial statements and writes clear, concise commentary for review by internal management or submission to Ingelheim. Reporting should be timely, accurate and supported by data from existing systems. Reporting should also be in compliance with German and US GAAP
* Prepare and/or present analyses, budgets and plans to various levels of management. Analysis, Budgets and Strategic Plans should add value and support to timely tactical and strategic business decision making. Position will work closely with Operations and Marketing personnel to understand product costing and profitability issues that could lead to product discontinuation decisions
* Ensure that key Budget cycle and Strategic Plan data are properly prepared and are accurate in all relevant systems. (for example, MEP, Pillar, MFG Pro and PaRS) to insure consistency between all systems used for analysis Requirements * Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred (Finance or Accounting)
* 5+ years of progressively more responsible experience in product costing and financial analysis. Previous manufacturing experience in a standard costing environment. Extensive use of analytical tools such as variance analysis, product profitability analysis, ROI/NPV calculations. Comprehensive understanding of ERP systems (eg MFG-Pro, SAP, etc).
* Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Solutions can be operational or strategic and may lead to new policies.
* Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises significant latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Work is typically judged through impact in meeting high-level organizational objectives. Must meet applicable German and US GAAP guidelines
* Regularly exerts influence on business direction. Work is both tactical and strategic in situations involving senior management. Product profitability analysis should support decisions to stay or exit certain product families
* At times, serves as consultant to management matters pertaining to policies, plans, and objectives. Has input and consequently influence on the highest levels of management regarding strategic issues.
* Business acumen and analytical/problem solving skills
* Strong organizational, emotional intelligence and communication skills and overall high level of professionalism
* Solid understanding of and experience with preparing, analyzing and presenting financial data.
* Must have proficient computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint
* Experience with MFG Pro, SAPR/3, SAP/BPS, and SAP/BW desired
