JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS: Create product package inserts, instruction manuals, labeling, packaging and other technical documentation in accordance with applicable corporate and regulatory requirements. Make revisions to existing versions of the same type of documents. Prepare 'press ready' versions of documents required for the procurement of above-referenced materials and transmit this information to approved suppliers in a manner that assures only current, approved revisions are provided. In close cooperation with Regulatory, Clinical Affairs, Marketing and Research and Development staff, create and control draft product documentation required for regulatory submissions. Coordinate the documentation of new or modified product packaging (outer boxes, foam vial insets, etc.) in compliance with applicable corporate and regulatory requirements to meet product shipping requirements. Prepare multi-language product materials by obtaining certified translations and a ccurately incorporating these approved translations into controlled documents. Crate and revise schematic drawings used in user manuals for software and instrumentation. Prepare and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in accordance with applicable company Standard Operating Procedures. Prepare 'in-house' labels as needed to support Manufacturing such ad 'Research Use Only', 'Investigational Use Only', or other low-volume labels and assure that these are produced in accordance with approved documentation or special work instructions. Serve on project teams to ensure that product labeling is completed and in inventory when needed to ensure project due dates are met. Prepare posters for scientific presentations including AACC, AABB and other meetings.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in graphic design, technical writing, or similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates a possession of and competency in the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Two or more years experience creating technical illustrations and documents such as product instructions, manuals, packaging and labeling drawings. Prefer experience in an environment where output (manuals, drawings, etc.) is controlled, such as in an engineering or GMP environment. Experience working with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Professional, Flash Professional and FrameMaker required. Prefer design experience with barcodes. Must have advanced competency in PC Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).
