Our Southern Fairfield County, Connecticut, facility producing Lifecodes products is a leading provider of diagnostic products in the field of transplant immunology.



'The Power to Shape Your Future'

We are currently seeking a Production Planner / Master Scheduler for our Connecticut facility. This position will be responsible for production planning and inventory management activities necessary to ensure appropriate inventory levels of finished goods, intermediate product, bulk, work-in-process and raw materials.




DESCRIPTION OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzes sales forecasts.

  • Generates production schedules & raw material requirements.

  • Releases production work orders to Manufacturing.

  • Analyzes sales performance and establish Production & QC priorities.

  • Maintains inventory to achieve assigned levels.

  • Participates in the transfer of new products from R&D to Mfg.

  • Ensures that internal departments are kept abreast of work order status, inventory levels & projects.

  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulations & policies.

  • Maintains work center schedules to ensure proper jobs are scheduled and capacity limitations are understood and communicated when necessary.

  • Provide guidance and training to lower level Production Planners specifically on new techniques or process changes.

  • Acts as a lead and handles production control issues or concerns within the department.




RELATED BUSINESS/TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of MRP2 and computerized inventory control system.

  • Working knowledge of material master maintenance, BOM's, routings/recipes and work centers.

  • Knowledge of cost accounting fundamentals and labor reporting.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent

  • CPIM certification desired.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Typically requires BA or BS and 2-5 years related experience
