Director, Global Hemophilia Marketing Job Details

The Director of Global Hemophilia Marketing is responsible for development of global marketing strategy for recombinant long-acting Factor IX (rFIXFc) and Factor VIII (rFVIIIFc) programs in clinical development - a new therapeutic area for Biogen Idec in which progress is accelerating rapidly. The Director will drive development of overall brand plans for the long term with 12-18 month detailed strategy and tactical plans, including:
Target Product Profile ownership for rFIXFc and rFVIIIFc
Product positioning and messages (by geographic region, where appropriate)
Global brand and trade naming activities
Global publication and communication strategy
- Publication strategy for scientific data and awareness building
- Communications/public affairs strategy including execution on materials for website, events and KOL/investigators interactions
Work with clinical to ensure that pre-launch communications are aligned with needs to accrue studies
Commercial infrastructure planning
Commercial budget planning

The Director will lead the commercial subteam in Biogen Idec's collaboration with Biovitrum.

The Director will also work closely with a team of 2 associate directors of marketing and an analyst on strategy and execution for pre-launch market development activities, including physician and patient awareness activities, and on target market research, business projections and pricing/reimbursement activities.

Seasoned marketing professional, with at least 10 years of pharmaceutical commercial experience, including development and execution of a brand plan in a specialty market.Experience in the following is a significant plus:o hemophilia commercial strategy developmento execution on pre-launch and launch activities in hemophilia or specialty marketso health economics expertiseo build out of infrastructure in a specialty therapeutic area new to the employer
