The Organization Gene Security Network (GSN) is a molecular diagnostics company that has developed a proprietary technology to analyze tiny quantities of DNA as small as that from a single cell. GSN operates a CLIA certified laboratory providing genetic testing of embryos during in-vitro fertilization (IVF). The technology enables clinicians at IVF centers to select embryos with the highest probability of becoming healthy babies. The technology will also be applied to large international markets in the prenatal diagnostic realm. The team consists of ~40 statisticians, geneticists, doctors, laboratory technicians and software engineers from top-tier universities. Our technology has been funded by six grants from the National Institute of Health, partner IVF centers, the healthcare-focused venture capital firm Claremont Creek Ventures, and the renowned Sequoia Venture Capital. GSN is currently offering clinical service to >90 IVF clinics in the United States and Europe.
Job Description Responsible for leading field-based marketing programs to drive market adoption and business growth. Core responsibilities include inception of marketing programs that can be implemented in the field by our physician sales force, including design, execution, an ongoing management with tracking metrics to evaluate program performance. Programs will support currently marketed products and new product launches. Possible activities include but are not limited to Med Ed seminars, training and presentation programs, and customer partnerships for co-marketing activities. You will train the sales force and work with them in the field to ensure proper execution. Current customer bases include IVF and Medical Geneticists/Genetic Counselors. You will play a key role in the expansion of service offerings beyond the United States. Requirements Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: - Minimum eight years physician marketing and sales experience in biotech industry - Prior biopharma sales experience required; proven track record of success - Background in medical or biological sciences (clinical diagnostics preferred) - Market knowledge and experience marketing/selling to OB/GYN or IVF market strongly preferred - Experience assimilating highly technical information from medical journal publications including ability to succinctly summarize and communicate key points - Proven project management skills, the ability to organize multiple simultaneous projects and overcome obstacles, and train others - Proven ability to Prior personnel management experience - Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to effectively present to both internal and external customers - Proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel - MBA preferred through not required - Scientific or medical educational background strongly preferred though not required
