Complete Genomics is seeking a Product Manager / Senior Product Manager to join our growing Marketing team. This individual will work with Complete Genomics marketing, sales, and software development teams to drive and execute Complete Genomics analysis tools strategy. In addition, to developing Complete Genomics analysis tools roadmap, this individual will also interact with Complete Genomics partners in the commercial bioinformatics and open source community to develop our bioinformatics tools partner program to ensure it complements our tools strategy. To be successful, this individual will need to tap into a broad knowledge-base and recent experience that spans software development processes, bioinformatics analysis and tools, and partner management. Requirements The Senior Product Manager is expected to: Work closely with a team of product managers, application scientists, software engineers and thought leaders to help determine Complete Genomics analysis tools roadmap. This includes defining the genomic analysis tools provided to customers, by gathering and prioritizing internal and external market and customer requirements, and working closely with development to deliver these tools to customers. Produce comprehensive marketing requirements for data analysis applications based on market and customer need Develop, deploy, and manage Complete Genomics software partner program, including both academic and commercial partners Interact with customers where bioinformatics and analysis expertise is necessary Prepare and deliver presentations at trade shows, customer sites, conferences, and user group meetings Generate technical webinars, datasheets, whitepapers, and case studies
Required Knowledge and Experience: This position requires skills in genetic analysis and experience with manipulating large multidimensional complete human genome datasets; a PhD in genetics, bioinformatics or related scientific/technical discipline and 4+ years of experience in genetic data analysis, preferably in a small-startup environment. Equivalent experience accepted for very exceptional candidates, with at least a Bachelor's Degree in biology, engineering or computer science.
