Angiotech is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager for the Interventional business unit that works independently under the direction of the Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for the full life cycle of a portfolio of products, with the goal of meeting product development deliverables and revenue objectives. As the market expert, the role requires interaction with physicians, cultivation of key opinion leaders (KOLs), comprehensive familiarity with competitors and competitive products, and identification of market opportunities. This knowledge will ultimately coalesce into marketing plans for the respective focus products, comprising launch material and training, trade shows, podium speakers, marketing collateral and advertising.
The Senior Product Manager must be comfortable coordinating and interacting with Sales, Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Medical/Regulatory Affairs, Legal and Customer Service. Responsibilities include: Analyze, understand, and communicate customer and market dynamics and trends for clear understanding of customer needs and competitive challenges. Forecast monthly sales across markets. Manage product lifecycle for portfolio of products, including development and approval of new products or line extensions, branding, product packaging/labeling, pricing and reimbursement, and rationalization of older products. Develop marketing and sales support programs and tools, including comprehensive launch materials for new product introductions. Develop relationships with global KOLs and develop interventions and activities to leverage their influence across the customer base. Develop and manage the marketing presence at key congresses, regional meetings or symposia. Work with Medical Affairs to establish podium presence and/or publication strategies to support feature products. Support strategic planning initiative to establish mid-term initiatives for building the Interventional business. Interact with supply planning, manufacturing, project management, and business development in the course of facilitating long-term strategies. Lead the development, evaluation, and implementation of the global marketing and branding plans - leveraging outside advertising and market research agencies. Develop and implement pricing and reimbursement strategies leveraging clinical results, KOL support, and pharmacoeconomic data to justify and support product pricing. Lead the development and approval of product packaging and labeling across international markets. Develop brand equity metrics and related message monitoring program to guide adjustments to marketing programs and messages to maximize the brand. Requirements Bachelors Degree Masters preferred Minimum of 5 years experience with medical device/drug marketing and product management required. Experience with marketing and selling of vascular access products (drug-coated devices a plus) as well as interventional radiology/cardiology. Global Product launch and branding experience a plus. A minimum of two years of Field Sales experience. Highly computer literate with knowledge of MS Office Products. Strong written and verbal communication skills including strong listening and presentation skills. Strong analytical skills, ability to design and work with market research data and undertake commercial assessments, comfortable managing financial data.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS 30% travel domestically with occasional international travel to Canada or Europe.
