Job Description: 

The Director Global Marketing, Fampridine will be responsible for developing global strategic brand plans for Fampridine. The Director will develop and execute the OUS, Global Launch Plan. The Director will also be the architect for the long-range global strategic plan for the brand ensuring that we maximize the lifecycle of the brand within Global Commercial Neurology. This individual will be the brand champion throughout the company as well as being responsible for coaching and developing the brand team. As a senior leader within the organization, this individual will lead the brand in numerous cross-functional projects and programs working with every functional department within the entire Biogen Idec organization. They must also be able to work collaboratively with the Brand Directors of Avonex & Tysabri to grow market leadership for the MS Franchise for Biogen. This individual will utilize their industry experience to make sound business decisions and provide the needed recommendations to key stakeholders throughout the organization to achieve the overall brand goals.

Specific responsibilities include:
Lead the development and execution of the OUS launch plan.
Develop LRP (Long Range Plan) for the brand.
Influence competitive positioning and Phase III clinical development strategies.
Work closely with R&D and Medical Affairs in the development of LCM plans to ensure long term commercial success.
Coach, develop and lead team.
Effectively be responsible for the brands bottom line revenue, budgets, and P&L.
Lead and guide key brand decisions globally, global initiatives/projects providing insights to many functional groups and affiliates throughout the organization to achieve the necessary brand goals.
Liaise with affiliates and other key stakeholders / partners to develop strategic plans. Develop and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the International affiliates and US commercial marketing teams.
Liaise with Commercial, R&D, medical affairs, regulatory, International Affiliates

Requirements

10+ years proven commercial experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry.Minimum of 5 years in Marketing, including at least 2 years in Global Marketing.Global launch experience preferred, Affiliate or US launch experience a plus.Minimum of 2 years management experience, Commercial Operations leadership experience preferred.Strong leadership, planning and organization, analytics, decision making and problem solving skills.Strategic planning skills.Demonstrated success in leadership and influencing skills.Excellent communication/coordination/interpersonal skills.Exhibits outstanding written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively write and deliver presentations to professionals at all levels within BIIB and amongst our customer base.Demonstrated relationship building and cross-functional teamwork skills.Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
