The Senior Director is the Franchise Leader for the Differentiated Pharmaceutical Franchise Team.
* Lead development and successful implementation of all Differentiated Pharmaceutical Franchise products and potential franchise products, inclusive of portfolio selection, product development, value proposition & brand development, promotion plans (publication plan, 3rd party alliances, etc) and global launch strategies
* Responsible for optimizing the Differentiated Pharmaceutical Franchise portfolio, inclusive of product support, product identification, building the business case for new product investments, supporting business development and leading all marketing activities
* Work with business development to evaluate opportunities for partnerships, in-licensing or acquisition to build the Differentiated Pharmaceutical Franchise portfolio
* Lead globalization of the Differentiated Pharmaceutical Franchise portfolio and work with regional marketing teams to identify regional differentiated pharmaceutical franchise product strategies & portfolio opportunities.
* Lead Marketing Team responsible for all global new product launches, responsible for talent management activities including staffing, training, performance management, coaching, and development planning.
* Optimize portfolio of products through product enhancements, strong marketing programs and the right marketing mix
* Build strong relationships with key customers and industry thought leaders.
* Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement commercial strategies, convert these into tactical marketing plans and deliver results
* Provide leadership and direction to Differentiated Pharmaceutical Franchise Team while delivering large and/or multiple projects and influencing business Requirements * Strong leadership skills with an ability to set a vision, lead change, and mentor others
* Sound decision making capabilities and the ability to make decisions in absence of consensus when necessary
* Good organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities
* Ability to build strong internal and external relationships and foster an environment around teamwork and collaboration.
* Ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing
* Strong leadership presence with ability to utilize organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to persuade others of the course of action, and facilitate successful project implementation
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management
* Ability to operate in the matrix by working across all regions and functions at both an executive and tactical sales/marketing level
* Eight to twelve years progressive marketing experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated record of success.
