ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To identify, manage and deliver a global, customer-centric portfolio of innovative products in flow cytometry To identify & leverage functional expertise in Engineering, R&D, and Operations to deliver best-in-class products Responsible for strategic and operational product management and product planning functions, including direction, coordination, and execution of strategic and annual product planning, product strategies, technology planning/portfolio management as relates to product planning and strategy. Collaborates with market segment managers on customer product, service, and systems requirements, and ensures products developed and launched exceed customer requirements and establish compelling and valuable technical and economic differentiation in worldwide markets. Creates and directs setting of initial product positioning, pricing, and packaging strategies to initiate product introductions into specific market segments. Works closely with Marketing and Research & Development in driving execution and delivery of product/technology plans. Responsible for establishing processes and methodologies to ensure product solutions provide competitively superior benefits. Collaborates with R&D in the management of feature set and product strategy tradeoffs, and the development of appropriate technical and economic-based marketing claims the market requires. RequirementsREQUIREMENTSRequires knowledge and skills normally acquired through completion of a doctorate degree in Immunology, Biology, Physics, Engineering, Microbiology or Biochemistry, or equivalent experience.
