Job Summary
The Sr Director of Global Marketing will be responsible for evaluating market environments and translating the information into marketing strategies to achieve strategic plan goals in the long-term. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the therapy marketing strategy to support the Home Therapy business within Baxters Renal business. Working closely with global marketing colleagues, global medical and clinical affairs, regional marketing partners and external KOLs.
Scope of responsibilities range from aligning strategic initiatives with sales to developing vision and strategy for existing product lines to new products. Work closely with thought leaders and key customers in identifying unmet needs in the marketplace. Additional Responsibilities Include:
* Key interface with global business development groups within Baxter to identify gaps in portfolio and develop strategy to fill those gaps.
* Develop strategic alignment across all Baxter Renal product lines.
* Ensure marketing programs and strategies are benchmarked against best-demonstrated practices within health care/pharmaceutical markets
* Understand customer and market dynamics and trends in order to provide customers unmet needs.
* Develop strategic business plan, create an environment of operational excellence to drive implementation of the strategic business plan.
* Manage and develop staff, drive increased productivity while motivating employees.
* Lead project teams, key liaison with global leaders. Requirements * Masters degree with ten to fifteen years progressive therapy marketing experience in global and regional roles with demonstrated record of success in driving new product development and launches and in-line product sales.
* Experience working in a global matrix environment, with launch experience outside the US
* Experience building and leading international teams to deliver business results
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and excellent communication across functions, organizational levels and cultures
* Strong ability to understand both internal and external market environments.
* Ability to convert strategy to action.
* Strong skills and knowledge in areas of pricing, reimbursement and creative product/program development.
* Proven leadership in driving business objectives in a matrixed, global environment.
* High energy with ability to meet deadlines and maintain high work quality
* Extensive pharma or medical device medical marketing experience
* Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred
* Background in strategic planning and business development helpful.
