Director of Marketing - Molecular Diagnostics
Reporting to the Vice President of Commercial Operations, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for directing all marketing activities necessary to accomplish IncellDxs commercial goals. Over time this will include building, developing, and leading a team of marketing professionals responsible for all aspects of product marketing for IncellDx.
RESPONSIBILITIES Create strategic and tactical marketing plans to drive the continued growth of business in existing and new markets; Manage the entire product portfolio including necessary market positioning, product requirements documentation, launch planning, and product lifecycle management; Cultivate and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), corporate partners, VIP customers, and professional organizations to ensure early adoption of new products; Employ secondary and primary market research techniques to evaluate the market landscape, monitor changes in market dynamics, gather competitive intelligence, as well as provide recommendations on product differentiation strategies; Create, validate, and refine marketing forecasts and other analytics for diagnostic opportunities. market segments, and products; Lead customer focus groups, surveys, and scientific advisory boards to assure the company stays abreast of customer needs; Conduct pre-market trials & evaluations to support commercial product launches and existing products; Manage marketing communication activities such as press releases, website updates, customer newsletters, etc; Create written copy and multi-media content for promotional print and online advertising; Manage and participate in tradeshows and events focused on molecular diagnostics; Support commercial activities by developing tactical sales materials, slide presentations, and literature; Coordinate planning and content development for national sales meetings; Work collaboratively with the field sales team to ensure accomplishment of company milestones in the annual revenue plan; Manage the promotional marketing budget to ensure that spending is gaited appropriately and budget is not exceeded; Participate in shaping the development of the marketing organization. Requirements Bachelors degree required; MBA, Masters, or PhD a plus; Successful track record in molecular diagnostic marketing with 10+ years of relevant experience in roles of increasing job responsibility; At least 5 years experience building, managing, and leading a marketing team; Knowledge of the CLIA and FDA regulations associated with promotion of diagnostic products; Demonstrated success in launching FDA 510(k) cleared or PMA approved medical devices and/or assays; Experienced in working with internet-based tools, social media, as well as traditional marketing techniques and media outlets; Expertise with both the US and global diagnostics market including distribution channels is beneficial; Must be available to travel domestically and internationally approximately 25% of the time.
