SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER (4540)
DESCRIPTION Primary responsibility for tactical marketing for QuantiGene applications including lysate and in situ gene testing and DNA copy number variation to pharma, biotech and clinical research customers. Be the technical interface between R&D, sales and end-users in order to deliver custom QuantiGene products. Establish appropriate pricing for custom products. Support sales by working with the customer to define and communicate the scope and requirements for custom products for primary and secondary compound screening and biomarker testing. Work with R&D to deliver those products to customer on spec, on time and on price. Develop a philosophy of cradle to grave product management. Along with senior management create a concise and actionable go-to-market product and business plan Lead product requirement (inc. market research) and definition phase for product development activities. Successfully launch products in a timely and effective manner. Develop positioning, pricing and competitive analysis for all key product lines, both going forward and retrospectively. Take a lead role in creating marketing collateral, from single sheet data flyers to comprehensive brochure pieces. Ensure website content is current and maintained. Take a lead role in maintaining a professional and ethical e-mail marketing program As necessary support field selling activities with customer presentations and demonstration support. Be able to troubleshoot technical problems for key clients. Be the sales teams advocate in-house. Requirements Minimum of 5 years selling in a reagent focused life sciences company. Show metrics indicating success over that period. Must be a team player with a strong can-do attitude. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to think creatively and solve problems. Minimum of BS degree in biological sciences, MS or MBA is preferred. Must have had recent experience dealing with products for cell biology and /or molecular biology.
