Perform complex analytics needed to support marketings management of the generic business. Responsible for utilizing secondary and primary market research to clearly understand market dynamics and issues for key products, potential licensing candidates, new products and technologies. Responsible for making recommendations for strategies and tactics geared toward maximizing sales revenue for both new and existing products.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES PERFORMED BY THE INCUMBENT Serves as the primary source for all marketing databases. Becomes the go to person for IMS, First Data Bank, and companys internal databases such as TM1. Manages the database vendors where Marketing is responsible for the contracts. Through an understanding of market needs, conveys and assesses issues that need to be addressed via market research. Collects key secondary data to support new product launches. Collects and summarizes key data to support due diligence activities for new product licensing opportunities. Works with sales to understand potential market opportunities. Using the market research information, provides guidance to the marketing team to aid in developing sales and marketing tools with measurable market impact. Creates and distributes monthly sales reports for key products
EOE M/F/D/V Requirements Bachelors degree required. Must be able to successfully facilitate and complete projects in a dotted line environment. Must be analytical, have excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize projects. 4-6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in multiple operations functions desirable. A general understanding of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, distribution and regulatory processes desirable. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Proficiency in Word and Outlook required. Knowledge of PowerPoint is a plus
