Job Description: 

The Marketing Director is responsible for leading the brand team in the development of strategies and tactics to ensure product objectives and annual sales and profit goals are met.    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develop and manage the execution of the product marketing strategy to ensure that product objectives and sales goals are met. Monitor strategy against objectives and adjust course as necessary. Lead and manage personnel responsible for tactical execution of marketing strategies to ensure sales goals are met, corporate objectives are met, and that internal and external processes are followed. Coordinate and communicate cross-functionally with sales training, managed care, market research, clinical affairs, medical affairs, regulatory and pharmacovigilance to ensure alignment and support of the product strategy. Lead competitive strategy development, intelligence gathering and reporting. Develop relationships with key physicians and key institutions via site visits, interaction at professional meetings and interaction at Lundbeck sponsored meetings. Manage the promotional marketing budget to ensure that spending is gaited appropriately and budget is not exceeded. Monitor and analyze topics, trends, and literature relevant to the disease state and the business to better position the brand. Monitor and adapt to changes within the industry and business environment to better position the brand.   REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree   REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 10+ years of experience in brand marketing or a related function with at least 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to influence. Ability to work with multiple internal teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated consistent track record of success and delivering strong sales results. Strong scientific/medical aptitude and experience.   PREFERRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: MBA or Master's Degree Knowledge of CNS therapeutic area. Knowledge of epilepsy therapeutic area (disease state and marketplace). Pharmaceutical sales experience. Knowledge of the AMA, ACCME, PhRMA and FDA regulations associated with promotion and industry-supported scientific education activities.   CB* BSP~
