Responsible for directing the development of company clinical marketing strategy and programs working with the global product marketing team. Responsible for assessment of existing and potential markets and developing (in conjunction with the CMO, clinical science and therapy advancement) the clinical strategy to maximize those markets. Responsible for leading company clinical messaging and response to competitive clinical data. Responsible for working with the global and geography marketing teams to disseminate clinical data and messaging to commercial teams and customers. Activities may include clinical messaging and sales support, technical, developing and implementing multiple channel programs, publication / presentation strategy to support clinical messaging, planning clinical messaging strategy for new product development teams. Directs activities to address broad business implications including healthcare environment, regulatory dynamics and customer need.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. - Develops and executes strategy for product line(s) in an effective manner while providing direction and guidance to meet strategic plan needs. - Recruits, coaches and develops organizational talent. - Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives. - Keeps the organization's strategic intent at the forefront of planning, decision making and action. - Builds strategic partnerships to further business objectives. - Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.). - Develops, monitors and appropriately adjusts the annual budget for department(s).
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE: Has a very strong understanding of concepts and has applied them with great effectiveness. Functions in an independent fashion almost exclusively, needing very little direction. Is being sought out by others for direction and advice. Provides leadership to assigned staff and supervisors by communicating and providing guidance towards achieving business objectives. Creates immediate to long-range plans to carry out objectives established by top management; develops and calculates a budget for a department or group to meet business goals; forecasts future departmental needs. Assignments are expressed in the form of objectives; makes decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules in order to achieve the program objectives established by senior management; consequences of erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally include critical delays and modifications to projects or operations with substantial expenditure of time, human resources, and funds, and may jeopardize future business activity. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Basic Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 8 years clinical marketing experience. Strong knowledge of clinical data and its implications. Provides direction and monitors progress of staff toward organizational goals; monitors costs of projects and of human and material resources within a department or unit; monitors company-wide indicators such as market share and profitability; monitors external environment in area of technical or professional responsibility. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations. Develops and/or identifies new work processes and the improved utilization of human and material resources within the assigned or related functions or groups; facilitates others' participation in the continuous improvement program; investigates and solves problems that impact work processes and personnel within or across units or departments; develops and communicates a vision for the organizational unit assigned.
Preferred Qualifications: Clincial marketing or related experience in life sciences.
