Job Description:
This individual develops product and portfolio marketing strategies and tactics to increase demand and access in Academic Medical Centers. This leadership role is part of a high performance team that will improve Amgen's capabilities within the hospital segment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop, refine and execute hospital segment and product-level strategies that maximizes Amgen's performance in academic institutions.

2. Translate the business strategy into prioritized tactics for key audiences in the hospital setting (MDs, nurses, administrators, executives). Collaborate with Health Systems Marketing team to deliver pharmacy tactics.

3. Lead a team of marketing professionals to deliver compelling semester meeting resources that align with brand and senior hospital sales leadership objectives. Ensure that marketing mix across portfolio and personal/non-personal promotions are optimized to meet revenue goals for Amgen hospital products. Collaborate effectively with sales training to execute workshop objectives for semester.

4. Appropriately segment hospitals and adjudicate hospital coverage across and within selling teams to maximize selling effort.

5. Develop deep insights into customer behaviors that allow Amgen to tailor programs and messages to meet the unique needs of the institution.

6. Assess and respond to competitor moves within Amgen's universe of hospital customers. Recommend changes to Amgen hospital contracts to remain cost competitive.

7. Oversee the development of physician or other HCP advisory boards

8. Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and execute key opinion leader and fellows focused initiatives

9. Measure impact of hospital programs, including promotional initiatives and REMs

10. Develop and manage a budget, allocating resources to maximize impact

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience with focus on marketing or sales including developing market strategies and executing tactics at the brand or segment level.
-Requires a thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical marketing to HCPs
-Previous responsibility for product demand generation
-Demonstrated experience delivering high-impact resources for health systems customers. Extensive understanding of health care delivery systems, particular emphasis on pharmacy, hospitals, health-systems and pharmacy.
-Demonstrated track record of team leadership and career development of staff.
-Bachelor's degree in economics, business, life sciences

Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degrees (PharmD and MBA) preferred.
