Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Associate Director, Medical Marketing Liaison, Diabetes located at our US headquarters in Ridgefield, CT. As an Associate Director, Medical Marketing Liaison, you will be a Medical liaison to the Marketing Department under the direction of the Senior Associate Director, Therapeutic Operations, Diabetes. This position will also assist the Medical Affairs Therapeutic Area (TA), Diabetes Executive Directors develop and implement long term Medical-Marketing brand or franchise strategy.

Responsibilities:
* Marketing Liaison - Medical liaison to the Marketing, HEOR, and/or HMR Departments as needed and at the direction of the Senior Associate Director, Therapeutic Operations, Diabetes. This includes collaborating with Marketing colleagues to understand and provide accurate and useful Medical information and input on Marketing plans and tactics. Associate Director will also assist in educating and explaining highly scientific material to Marketing colleagues under the direction of the Senior Associate Director, Therapeutic Operations, Diabetes and attend medical- marketing meetings pertinent to their therapeutic area as directed by Associate Director, Therapeutic Operations, Diabetes.
* Medical Legal Review - MML will support the existing MLR review processes in each TA, as appropriate and under the direction of senior reviewers. MML will also participate in Ensemble review process by evaluating submitted materials (pertinent to respective therapeutic area) in a timely manner. In addition, the AD will work closely with marketing colleagues in developing concepts and pieces prior to submission to TEMPO.
* Clinical Analysis - Conduct literature research and analysis of key scientific data for the Medical Affairs Executive Director, Diabetes that will be used to determine long term Medical-Marketing strategic direction of the therapeutic area. This will be completed by review and interpretation of competitor and Diabetes publications, medical education, Congress activity, and clinical research studies/programs. * Budget Alignment (BA) - In collaboration with Medical Affairs Senior Associate Director, Therapeutic Operations, Diabetes the Associate Director will be responsible for assisting in the medical strategic planning/tactics portion of the Budget Alignment process. The Associate Director will support review of educational strategies and help facilitate the BAM process.
* Investigator Initiated Study Proposal Review - Serve as member of IIS review team, in evaluating submitted proposals. Serve as liaison with investigators and/or study CML at the direction of the Associate Director, Therapeutic Operations, Diabetes Advisory Boards.
* Responsible for assisting Medical Affairs Executive Directors, Diabetes in the development of materials/forms and organization of Medical Advisory Boards. Assist with strategic planning and content development of Marketing-driven advisory/consultant boards.
* Special Assignments - They may be called upon to assist with special assignments throughout the organization. Medical Marketing Liaison may represent Medical and/or Marketing by serving in a variety of functions and roles as needed by other departments when the appropriate personnel are not available.
Requirements
Requirements: * U.S. licensed Medical degree or U.S. equivalent (Preferred) or Clinical practitioner degree (e.g. Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner), or PhD or PharmD, with 3+ years of experience.
* Board Certification Medical Doctor (preferred Endocrinologist/Diabetes)
* Experience with medical legal review of promotional materials (preferred).
* The incumbent must have thorough medical/scientific knowledge of the therapeutic area-Diabetes, analytical skills, knowledge of drug development and regulatory requirements, good oral and written communication skills, computer skills and ability to work as part of a team.
