GeneTex, Inc. is a growing and dynamic biotech company. We develop, manufacture, and market innovative and high quality antibodies and reagents that focus on cancer and many other diseases.
We are looking for a Product Specialist to work closely with cross function teams including R&D, Production, QA/QC, Technical Support, Customer Support, Sales, and Marketing to identify, implement, launch, and promote innovative, high performance and quality antibodies. The overall responsibility of the Product Management is to be the focal point to integrate all functions to execute project effectively.
Essential Job Functions
* Provide R&D/Production with market driven input for product development strategies, new applications and overall product development direction. Assist R&D/Production with new product development and launch issues.
* Review product quality test data and make decisions to accept or reject based on the data and knowledge of customer applications.
* Work closely with customers and academic leaders to assess the technology and products needs of the marketplace and evaluate the business opportunities.
* Create strategic global marketing plans including forecasts, budgets, market research, situation analysis, product portfolio management, product positioning and marketing mix to create competitive advantage.
* Assist in the development and implementation of marketing communication strategies. Develop marketing and sales support material including product brochures, flyers, ads, press releases, trade show materials, and catalog.
* Provide product and marketing training to sales and distributors Requirements * Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Immunology, Cell biology or related field.
* 1-2 years experience in the life sciences. Experience in marketing or developing antibodies including analysis of market and product/technology trend is a plus.
* Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and a self-starter.
* Exceptional problem solving, decision-making, conflict, and negotiating skills.
* Good written and verbal skills including ability to write presentations, technical brochures, and marketing collateral.
* Knowledge or experience in Web marketing tactics is a plus but not essential.
