As a key member of the Breast Cancer marketing team, this individual will contribute to the development of the overall business strategy, marketing communications and marketing of the brand with a focus on Breast Cancer.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES PERFORMED BY THE INCUMBENT
The candidate will be responsible for evaluating the marketing strategy plan to identify gaps and potential opportunities. He/she will process and interpret data, including outcomes and findings, leading to recommendations on Breast Cancer marketing strategies. The candidate will direct and manage the creation of long-term plans to attain objectives and oversee the development and implementation of brand initiatives. He/she will create, validate and refine forecasts for Breast Cancer market opportunities. The candidate will successfully employ secondary and primary market research techniques to accomplish the above. The candidate will evaluate the market landscape, monitor changes in market dynamics and competition, as well as provide recommendations on product differentiation strategies. Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners, thought leaders, key customers and professional organizations Assist in the development of US medical education initiatives at national and regional levels, as well as publication plans Participate in the brand planning and forecasting processes Oversee plans for congresses and medical meetings Assist with speaker training and advisory meetings Act as the marketing liaison with Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations teams Establish clear objectives for and contribute to design of appropriate market research Generate forecast assumptions to guide team and management decisionmaking Gather competitive intelligence Coordinate planning and content development for POA and national sales meetings Requirements Successful track record in pharmaceutical marketing with 7+ years relevant experience with increasing job responsibilities Broad therapeutic area expertise, with particular emphasis on Breast Cancer. Product launch experience preferred Must have experience in the development of the medical education strateges and communication plans, market/product analysis including product opportunities, market trends and competitive intelligence, opinion leader advocacy development, medical education programs, scientific meetings strategy, ability to lead and manage multiple vendors Strong management communication and organizational skills are essential. Four-year college degree required. Business (MBA) and/or biological science education with a concentration in marketing is preferred This position requires approximately 30% travel.
